Longtime Sacramento insurance executive Robert Henderson ’52 died on February 1, 2021 from Covid-19 at the age of 90. After graduating from Santa Clara, Robert served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. He married the love of his life, Patti June, in 1956, and founded his own business under the name of Robert M. Henderson Insurance, later to become Henderson-Diederichs & Dryer, Inc. He served on the Salvation Army Advisory Board for 20 years, including two terms as Chairman. He was the Board President of St. Patrick’s Home for Children, board member of Christ the King Retreat House, board member of Del Paso Country Club, member of the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, Comstock Club and Advisory Counsel of CNA Insurance Company. He was secretary and president of the Sacramento Chapter of the Santa Clara Alumni Association and was awarded Santa Claran of the Year in 1977. He is survived by his wife, Patti, daughter Patricia A. Miller, brothers James C. Henderson and William S. Henderson.
