Born on Sept. 16, 1928 in Santa Ana, California, Robert Eugene Stoffel ’50 was a longtime resident of Anaheim and then Fullerton. He attended St. Boniface School and Anaheim High School and graduated from St. Anthony High School in Long Beach. He earned a B.S. in education from SCU and a Master of Arts in history from Loyola University. Bob was a man of faith, family, and devotion. He married Gloria Ann Fabian on Dec. 28, 1957. Bob and Ann were active, faithful members of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Fullerton since 1959. Together they raised seven children and were married for 51 years until her death in 2009). He passed away on May 6, 2019, at the age of 90. Bob is survived by children Robert, Cynthia, James, John, Lawrence, Mary, and Julie; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was a popular teacher in the ABC Unified School District for 41 years, where he spent most of his years as a science and health teacher, and was well-known for his humor and puns at Carmenita JHS in Cerritos.
