Rob Lathrop ’94, M.S. ’01 is the new president of Lathrop Engineering, a Paramit company, that designs and develops medical device and life science instrumentation. As the former VP of engineering at Lathrop, Rob brings more than 20 years of experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, project management, and designing and developing complex scientific instrumentation. He has been instrumental in expanding the company’s client base, and his optimization of the product development process now enables Lathrop to complete even the most complex projects on timelines no one else can match. Rob’s leadership of design and engineering teams through many successful projects over the years has built strong working relationships with clients, as well as their continued repeat business.

Rob has served on the University’s Mechanical Engineering Industry Advisory Board for the last 10 years. Finding it important to give back to young engineers coming up in the ranks, he also contributes his time, mentoring, and training as part of his activities on the board.
