Champion of underdogs Richard Walker ’71 died Aug. 5, 2023. Rich had a lifelong passion for ROTC. During his 22 year long Army career, one of his favorite assignments was assistant professor of Military science at the University of South Florida. There he met the love of his life Cindy, and they were married for over 40 years thanks to frequent dinner dates. After retirement they enjoyed traveling together and Rich spent much of his free time golfing and volunteering with young adults.
