After graduating from SCU, Richard Rolla ’57 worked alongside his father-in-law Dan Caputo and brother-in-law Dan Jr. at their construction business Dan Caputo Co. His son Phil eventually joined the business, and they grew it into a robust real estate development firm. Rolla died Dec. 28, 2022. He will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, wine connoisseur, golfer, Santa Clara Bronco, beach and desert dweller, world traveler, fisherman, builder, sharp dresser, proud Italian American, and dedicated sports fan.
