A scout through and through, Richard Burkhardt MBA ’74 was always there for his family and community. As a child, Dick worked his way through Boy Scouts to become an Eagle Scout, and at 18 he joined the Navy. Afterwards he got a job at Del Monte in Los Angeles, where he met the love of his life, Patricia. Dick was very active with both his children through Indian Princess, Indian Guides, and Boy Scouts. He worked at various Silicon Valley companies while raising his family and retired at 65. He and Pat loved to travel and their favorite place was Maui. The two were active members of Resurrection Lutheran Ministries in Brentwood. Dick died on March 15, 2022.
