Raymond J. Dempsey ’53 passed away November 1, 2010 at Dominican Hospital. Ray would have been in the class of 1950 but he entered law school after his junior year. During the Korean conflict he served as a 1^st Lieutenant in the United States Army at Ford Ord, Calif. After he was discharged, he returned to SCU and received a degree in history with the class of 1953. Ray’s life’s career was in the title insurance and real estate business. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia. He is survived by his son Tom, daughters Sharon and Gail O’Conner, his sister Maureen Lami and grandchildren Eric and Dane Dempsey. He enjoyed history, reading, football, and fishing.
