As chief technology officer for Expedia, Murthy oversees their massive online travel network and believes they’re ready to capitalize on the advancements of generative AI. Murthy expressed that AI is a huge enabler for them and incorporating AI into Expedia has meant adding ChatGPT and other Open-AI plug-ins to improve user experience. Amidst ethical concerns, Murthy assured that Expedia remains a fair and free marketplace.
