1968

Growing up in Marysville, California, Paul Vantress ’68 spent his youth working on his family’s chicken hatchery. After playing football at Santa Clara, he served his country as a first lieutenant in the United States Army. Paul never forgot his humble roots and returned to California, where he began his career in the agricultural business. He spent much of his time bettering the community, watching sports, and playing golf. Even when Parkinson’s hindered his mobility, he continued driving himself to boxing classes and serving as president of his local Parkinson’s support group. Paul is survived by wife Maureen Vantress ’69, daughter Kristine Vantress ’92 , and son Mark Vantress.
