Patrick Lee Kennedy ’51 was born on Jan. 20, 1926, in Toledo, Ohio, to Robert and Mary Kennedy. He served in the Army during WWII in the 69th division, from 1944 to 1946. He married Sonia Rudakawycz on Sept. 5, 1950, in Canada before graduating from SCU. Pat and Sonia had four children, Mary, Mark (Lynn), Sonia Ann ’82 (Don) and Cecilia (Larry). He worked as a lumber salesman for 63 years for Weyerhaeuser, Plywood Fresno, and Global Wood Source, to name a few. He was also an usher at St. Joseph of Cupertino Church for over 50 years. Patrick passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2018 and is survived by daughters Mary Kennedy and Cecilia Kelly as well as his son, Mark Kennedy. He also leaves behind three grandsons, Ian Kennedy, Adam J. Kelly, and William Patrick Murray. Family who recently passed away include Patrick’s wife, Sonia, his daughter Sonia Ann, and his grandson, Nicholas Patrick.
