Devout Irish Catholic, Democrat, World War II Navy veteran and family man Patrick J. Creegan ’48 led an adventurous life. As a civil, structural, geotechnical, and dam engineer, he worked nationally and internationally, in Nicaragua, Dubai, and India. A lifelong learner, Patrick earned bachelor’s at SCU and his doctorate in engineering from Berkeley. Patrick was both a natural athlete and seaman at heart: He was a surfer, fisherman, golfer, avid Giants, and 49ers fan, and a woodworker. His loving and generous spirit will always be remembered by his children, including Clare Creegan Chamorro ’83, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Patrick died at the age of 96.
