Nicole Trevor Haims ’95 writes, "I received my MFA in Creative Writing (poetry) from the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop in 1998 and quickly realized there weren’t a lot of jobs for poets, so I started a career in publishing. Working for Wiley Publishing was the best first job in the world. It allowed me to put my creative, editorial, and writing skills to use, and it challenged me to learn emerging technologies. Since 2010 I’ve worked at Flintridge Preparatory School as the Director of Communications. Also in 2010 I married Jason Trevor, who works at his alma mater, Caltech, as a senior research engineer. We have a pretty wonderful life and currently live in La Canada Flintridge, Calif."
