Nahal Iravani-Sani J.D. ’93 received the 2016 Diversity Award at the Santa Clara County Bar Association Judge’s Night for commitment and leadership in promoting diversity in the legal profession. She was recently interviewed by The Huffington Post regarding this achievement, during which she said, "My immigrant background has fostered traits of perseverance and fair-mindedness. Early encounters with injustice and adversity have heightened my sensitivity and commitment to fairness and equality. In our legal system, in particular, I firmly believe in the notion that all who come to our courts must be treated with uncompromising fairness, respect, and dignity."
