Miles “Mike” Andrew Sharkey Jr. ’59 died on December 13, 2020, with his beloved wife Sally by his side. Born in Beverly Hills, Mike graduated from Loyola High School in Los Angeles and earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University. Mike began his career at Lockheed, and later joined Western Gear Corporation in Pasadena. In 1976 he moved with his family to Ojai, and started his own machine shop, Sundance Precision. He retired in 2010 and moved with Sally first to Atascadero, then to Santa Fe. Mike loved tending to his garden, playing handball, and taking road trips. He had a wonderfully dry sense of humor that will be forever missed by his loved ones.
