After SCU, Michael Sixtus ’73 earned d his master’s degree in Physiological Ecology at San Diego State University, where he met his future wife, Ann. He taught science for 26 years in San Diego County. Mike and Ann traveled, visiting all seven continents. He also sang and played the guitar, cooked, and volunteered as a docent on whale-watching trips with the San Diego Museum of Natural History and as an interpretive ambassador at the San Diego Zoo. Mike died in April 2022 and is survived by extended family, including niece Alisha Simms ’96.
