In July 1966, a month after law school graduation, Michael P. Diepenbrock J.D. ’66 was drafted into the U.S. Army and the Vietnam War. His first Army supervisor and roommate would later become his brother-in-law and lifelong friend upon Michael’s marriage to Viorica Marian. Like his big brother, San Francisco lawyer Anthony B. Diepenbrock ’51, Michael practiced law in California. He died in February 2022. Viorica survives him, as do their five children, including Michelle V. Diepenbrock ’93 and Philip A. Diepenbrock ’94. His Bronco family includes nephew Anthony B. Diepenbrock ’74 cousin Philip A. Diepenbrock ’94. He was preceded in death by brother Anthony and cousins Anthony C. Diepenbrock ’61 and R. J. Diepenbrock ’51.
