1975

Michael Leonardo ’75 loved growing up in a small town atmosphere. In the agricultural community of Fowler, California, Michael learned to play the trumpet and guitar, formed a band with his best friend, and played at backyard parties and even for a local telethon. He majored in psychology at Santa Clara and spent his 30-year career with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department. He taught classes for law enforcement, wrote correctional law policy, and was instrumental in designing and building two new jail facilities. After retirement in 2006, Michael and his wife, Susie, moved to Dunlap, Tennessee to recapture that small-town magic. He died Sept. 7, 2023.
