Michael L. Mau J.D. ’93 has been appointed by California Governor Gavin Newsom ’89 to serve as a judge in San Mateo County Superior Court. Mau has served as a commissioner there since 2022 and previously worked as managing attorney and owner at the Law Offices of Michael L. Mau from 1999 to 2022. Earlier in his career, he was a senior attorney at McLemore, Collins & Toschi, an associate at Simpson, Aherne & Garrity, and an independent contract attorney at the Law Office of J. Hector Moreno, Sr. Judge Mau will be presiding out of San Mateo’s Central Branch Courthouse as a civil direct calendaring judge.
