Michael Leonard Angelastro MBA ’77 passed away on January 19, 2015, from injuries sustained during a fall. He was 70 years young. Born to Broadway performers Leonardo and Aldine Teague Angelastro, on July 7, 1944, in New York City, he spent his childhood years at a school affectionately known as the "Ranch" in the Bronx. He graduated from San Jose State with a bachelor’s degree and earned his MBA in Financial Analysis from Santa Clara University in 1977. He served honorably in the US Air Force from 1965 to 1969. He was married for many years to Shirley Wells Angelastro and was later divorced. In 1995 he married Lynda Goddard Sessions and they lived at Wasatch Commons Co-housing Community in Salt Lake City, Utah. They planned to celebrate 20 years of marriage later this year. Across his life he was employed by National Semiconductor and then became manager of Incentives for American Express. Later in life he was a computer programmer for various companies. He loved to read and was known for his guitar playing and his amazing garden.

Mike adored his big blended family and is survived by children: Rebecca Fattah and Mike (Jade) Angelastro Jr., Salt Lake City, Utah; Karen (Chris) Westbrooks, Griffin, Georgia; Shelley Snyder and Heidi (Cody) Preston, North Ogden, Utah; Darren (Shell) Sessions, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; Jared (Dena) Sessions, Logan, Utah; and Jeffrey (Shandra) Sorenson, Layton, Utah. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mike’s love and support for his extended family was a special gift that encouraged and lifted us all. He will be missed dreadfully.
