Michael C. Abel 93 has joined Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, in the Los Angeles office, as an associate in the firm’s bankruptcy and restructuring group.

Abel represents debtors, secured lenders, and creditors’ committees, all of which he has advised in complex Chapter 11 cases. He has enforced clients’ rights and remedies in bankruptcy, federal, and state courts. Abel also has experience in work-outs and out-of-court restructuring on both the lender and borrower sides.

Prior to joining Brownstein, Abel was a senior staff attorney at Danning, Gill, Diamond & Kollitz, LLP where he represented corporate debtors on a variety of issues.

Abel received his law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University.
