Mary McQuade Schrey Springer ’71, relocated to Eugene, Oregon in 2009 and has been instrumental in bringing the non-profit SecondSaturday to Eugene. One of the oldest non-profits in the United States, Second Saturday’s mission is to keep divorcing women and their children out of poverty through education and support. Through her private psychotherapy practice she has also spearheaded a Grandparents Raising their Grandchildren Network and is on the Board of the Oregaon Association of Collaborative Professionals. She and her husband, Dean, also enjoy exploring Oregon backroads and her two granddaughters.
