Mary Ratcliff ’83 had a head for numbers and birds. Mary excelled in school and her keen math skills led her to a long career in software engineering and development. After retiring, Mary spent most of her time volunteering for several non-profit organizations, including the Lake Oswego Sustainability Network, Portland Audubon, and the Willamette Women Democrats. She was also an avid birder and led frequent birding tours. Most of her travel in the U.S. and abroad was timed to observe seasonal migrations of various bird species. Mary died Aug. 23, 2023.
