Mary Ann Faherty Latimer ’67 died June 8, 2024. She was the daughter of John Faherty ’30 and Helen Faherty. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Dennis Latimer ’67, their three children, Denver, Dylan and Elizabeth, and granddaughter Aurelia. After raising her three children, Mary Ann was hired by Chico State University to teach writing. She excelled at improving student success in other courses and was granted professor emeritus status upon retirement in 2009. Mary Ann loved her family, friends, teaching, traveling, reading, painting, and fly fishing. Mary Ann belonged to a family of her Broncos: her brother Tom Faherty graduated in 1969, her late sister-in-law Terry Bergstrom Faherty in 1971, her sister Sheila Faherty Hugo in 1976, her nieces, Gina Takasugi Copping and Maureen Faherty Keely in 2004, and her late cousin Alex Stensby in 1954.
