Born in the Bronx, Martin Kaufman M.S. ’75 loved math, exercise, the outdoors, classical music, and dining out with family and friends. He traveled extensively and found joy and friendship in religious and community groups in retirement. Marty moved with his family to San Francisco at the age of 11, and later attended UC Berkeley and Santa Clara University. He spent his adult life in Los Angeles and Thousand Oaks, Calif., in a long career as a public school teacher. A lifelong bachelor, Marty died on June 27, 2021, at the age of 89.
