Dr. Marilyn Abplanalp M.S.’95 currently serves as president of the Alliance for Assemblies of God Colleges and Universities.  Prior to beginning her post in 2008, Dr. Abplanalp served for 18 years at Bethany University, in Scotts Valley, California, where she was the associate dean for the School of Professional Studies and the director of the master of arts in education. Before her stint at Bethany, Marilyn worked with her husband, Bob, as he pastored churches in Lovelock, Nevada, and Fontana, California. Other ministries for Bob and Marilyn include working as youth pastors and acting with a street drama troupe: Resurrection Theatre. She has been married to Bob since 1971, and they have two married daughters, Alethea and Hillary, who have given them five astonishing grandchildren: Emma, Clara, Jackson, HollyMay and Hope.
