Mariaelena Gonzalez ’97 completed her Ph.D. in Sociology and graduated from Stanford University on June 14, 2009. Her dissertation is titled "Organizational Expansion and Change in the Roman Catholic Church: 1950-2000." Starting in July, she will be a postdoctoral fellow in the Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education, University of California, San Francisco.
