Marcia Jensen J.D. ’81, Los Gatos Planning Commission Chairwoman, is running for the town council. This is Jensen’s second time on the planning commission, with her most recent appointment coming in June 2008. Previously, she served on the planning commission from 1989 to 1999.
Jensen is an attorney who served on the Santa Clara County Grand Jury from 2010–2011. She has lived in Los Gatos since 1985. In 2003, she served as a parent representative to the Fisher Middle School Excellence in Education Task Force. In addition to her planning duties, Jensen is a member of the North 40 Advisory Committee and the General Plan Committee.
In announcing her candidacy, Jensen said, "Los Gatos residents are entitled to a council whose members will consider all consequences of the decisions they make and follow the policies already in place, which are designed to ensure that our schools, infrastructure, natural setting and small town character are preserved."
