Ludwig Andre M.S. ’65, a retired priest of the Dioceses of San Jose. died on August 5, 2022. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1957 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco. Ludwig’s first assignment was at St. Luke’s in Stockton, where he took on the role of assistant pastor. He then served as faculty at Serra High School until 1970 when he was named principal. He was later appointed to St. Simon and was conferred the title of monsignor by Bishop Patrick J. McGrath. In February 2022, Andre moved back to the Bay Area and into St. Joseph’s of Cupertino rectory. Ludwig will be remembered for his love of the mountains, his dog, skiing, a great plate of appetizers, and family and friends.
