Always the charmer, Lucian Grathwol ’84 was drawn to the sun, surf, and laid-back lifestyle of California, where he dreamed of becoming an actor. Living up to his Vegas birthright, Lucian gambled and lost out on breaking into film or TV. But he returned to Minnesota and continued to tread the boards of the Twin Cities theater scene for many years. Like many actors, Lucian worked in restaurants for years, but his true passion was the theater. Endowed with the Irish gift of gab, he could talk the last dollar out of your pocket but then he would turn right around and give you the shirt off his back. Lucian died on September 18, 2022.
