Lu Jenkins ’57 built a 35-year career in education as a teacher and principal and retiring as director of administrative services for Los Gatos Union School District in 1998. But he wasn’t done. Lu then served as Adjunct Faculty for National University, coaching and mentoring aspiring teachers. He was on the Bronco Bench Foundation and Athletic Advisory Committee for many years. Lu supported Bronco soccer and baseball. He became a players’ assistant at Silver Creek Valley Country Club and enjoyed weekly golf outings with his golfing buddies. He died Dec. 29, 2021, and is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jenkins MA ’87.
