Louis B. “Lou” Lucas ’53 couldn’t get enough SCU baseball. He was a catcher for the Broncos. Professionally, he taught and coached at Bellarmine College Prep before returning to the Mission campus as an assistant baseball coach for 20 years. In retirement, Lou volunteered in the SCU Athletic Department as a travel coordinator for nearly another 20 years. Lou died Nov. 19, 2021, and is survived by his family including daughter Diane Lucas ’86.
