A man of unwavering commitment to community service, Loren Harper ’63 made profoundly impactful contributions. Under his guidance, the Rotary District 5170 Sister Families Program successfully provided over 1,200 children in Brazil and the Philippines with loving, permanent homes. His continuous service to his alma mater earned him the Santa Clara University Alumni Association Ignatian Award, recognizing his exceptional service to others. Beyond his professional and community endeavors, Loren’s athletic, competitive spirit shone brightly. He was also a celebrated member of Santa Clara’s 1962 College World Series Baseball team. Loren died Jan. 14, 2024.
