Loreene Giansiracusa ’62 loved nursing. A deep sense of social justice led her to practice in New York City and at the Santa Clara County Jail. She later worked as office nurse for Dr. Joseph Giansiracusa, her future husband. The two volunteered their medical skills in underserved areas of the world. Loreene was also an avid gardener and reader, she loved dogs, and never once forgot a birthday. She died May 15, 2023.
