1991

Linette Escobar ’91 recently returned from a summer in Thailand. This was her 6th trip since the 2004 tsunami volunteering with an NGO serving Burmese migrant workers. She’s proud to report that the same kids who didn’t attend school before the tsunami are thriving academically and even writing amazing poetry in English. In San Francisco, she is an Associate Professor of English as a Second Language at two colleges and does grant writing and evaluation work as a consultant for non-profits.
