Lester George Sachs ’52 J.D. ’59 served in the California State Legislature as assistant to the chief clerk of the California Assembly. After graduation, Lester trained as a Military Police officer at Camp Gordon in Georgia. He was stationed in Washington, and served as a first lieutenant in Anchorage. He was awarded the National Defense Service medal. Lester found his calling in law and he specialized in construction and mechanics lien law. He practiced law in San Jose for 56 year. The other love in his life was his family. Lester died April 19, 2022 and is survived by his family including daughters Leslie s. Ingram ’81 and Lee S. Morrison ’82.
