An Army man, sportsman, and beloved father of nine, Lawrence Williams ’53 died March 22, 2023. In his younger years, Larry competed at the Tustin Hills Racquet Club as a tennis player, often bringing home trophies. He loved watching football games and spent many years attending his children’s and grandchildren’s competitions, no matter the sport. From fishing to restoring vintage Porsches, Larry put his heart into it all. He could often be found working on his prized HO-scale model train city. His perfectionism and engineering prowess led him to design an incredible layout that was enjoyed by adults and grandchildren alike. Larry is survived by family, including sons Michael Williams ’89 and John Williams ’94 and daughter Mary Coyle ’92.
