Lawrence Joseph Maslyn J.D. ’76 was born on March 10, 1934, in Geneva, New York, to Lawrence and Edwina Maslyn. He served as a member of the Air Force for 20 years as both an enlisted man and an officer. Some of his duties included flying first as a navigator, and then as a pilot, including a tour in Vietnam—his true love and passion was flying. After serving in the military, he obtained a law degree from SCU. Larry was an avid golfer and scored his age when he was 76. He was also a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Avondale. He passed away peacefully at his home comforted by his wife, Carole, on July 28, 2019, at the age of 85. Larry is survived by his six children, Lauren, Timothy, Joel, Maryclare, Larry, and Daniel; and his stepdaughter Paula, 11 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, as well as his three brothers, Edwin, Michael, and David.
