1963

In 1961, Lawrence A. Specchierla ’63  protested against the school enrolling women and becoming coed. By 1963, Larry had fallen in love with, proposed to, and married one of those pioneering women coeds, Maureen. Their shared experiences at Santa Clara University formed the foundation of a lifetime of love and commitment to service. He had a 36 year career with Texaco that took him around the world. He is survived by Maureen Specchierla ’65 and their children Tony, Therese ’87, and Michael ’91.
