Kathryn “Kati” Lindbloom Renner M.A. ’75, MBA ’78 was born on Oct. 15, 1941, in Chicago to Arthur and Dorothy Lindbloom. Kati attended schools in Chicago, graduating from Morgan Park High School. She attended colleges in Southern Illinois and Santa Clara University, earning a B.A. in geography, M.A. in communication, and an MBA. While on vacation, Kati and Vernon found Sisters to be an ideal community to live out their lives. She volunteered at the chamber of commerce, providing guidance to visitors. She had a keen knowledge of the city and surrounding community. She knew the streets, businesses, and places of interest. Kati died at home in Sisters, Oregon, on March 1, 2018. Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Vernon Renner, sister Janice Lindbloom, brother Arthur Lindbloom, nephews Mike and Bob Lindbloom, niece Stephanie Ruttert, and stepchildren Melanie, Julie, Brent, and Amy. She will be sorely missed by her family, co-workers, friends, community, and Sebastian, the family cat.
