Kathleen Vandenberg ’66 spent her teenage summers working at her father’s restaurant in Lake Tahoe. After college, she married Ron VandenBerg in 1970. They raised two children, Megan and Jonathan Vandenberg ’98. Kathy poured her heart into her distinguished career as a neonatal development specialist, author, and trainer. Over three decades, she offered compassionate, family-centered care to premature and high-risk newborns, and guided parents through some of their most difficult moments with tenderness and expertise. Kathy died on July 3, 2025.
