Born and raised in White Salmon, Wash., Mary Kathleen (Cain) Levin M.A. ’80 graduated from Columbia High School in 1951, earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University, and a master’s degree from Santa Clara. Kathi was a teacher at San Jose schools, and after retirement participated in The Villages Handbell choir for many years. She also played the French horn and sang in the chorus. As a lifelong lover of music, she performed until her final year of life. Kathi died on Feb. 9, 2024, and is survived by her husband, son, daughter, granddaughter, and great-grandson, as well as a stepson and a stepdaughter, four step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
