Katherine Lin ’18 was awarded the Dean’s Outstanding Student Award for Epidemiology in the class of 2020 at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, one of the top-ranked schools of public health in the United States. She was referred to as one of the superstars of the program. She is currently working as an epidemiologist/Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analyst at the University of California, San Francisco’s DREAM Lab, and previously has done so at Santa Clara University, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s tuberculosis control program, and the Cancer Prevention Institute of California.
