In 2024, Karen Krebser ’87 published her first work of non-fiction. Tarot Through the Witch’s Year: 33 Spreads for Spiritual Connection by Microcosm Publishing contains instructions for drawing and laying out Tarot cards on 33 different occasions throughout the year, drawing on the history and energy of each occasion to influence the reading and bring understanding and empowerment to the reader. This is not fortune-telling, it’s present-telling: how to see and incorporate information we can access by asking questions and facing our fears. Krebser has been reading the Tarot since the mid-1990s and has been publishing daily draws on social media since the 2000s. She has also presented classes and workshops on divination, ancestor reverence, and goddess reverence at various conferences across the U.S.
