1998

Julia Beatriz Guerrero ’98 was born on April 9, 1977, in Turlock, California, to Manuel and Carol (Serrano) Guerrero. She attended Livingston High School and studied English at SCU. Though her time on this earth was brief, Julia lived her life to the fullest. Her zeal for life was contagious and those blessed to be in her world got to experience what it was to live “Julia Style.” Julia spent her life devoting her time to the people, causes, and experiences she loved most: her family and friends, walking her fur babies Lulu and Missy, volunteering with Relay for Life, and like a true California girl, cheering on and attending 49ers and Giants games. A loving daughter, sister, aunt, Godmother, niece, and cousin was called home to be with our Lord and be reunited with her mother on Nov. 11, 2019. She was 42. While her natural beauty, infectious smile, and loving spirit has left us yearning for more, we find solace in living each day to its fullest, just as she did—letting all she loved be known. So when you’re having that perfect day where the right song plays, a beautiful sunset is before you, or you’re admiring that perfectly blossomed flower … know that Julia is checking in on you.
