Born on Oct. 9, 1956, in Bethesda, Maryland, Joseph Jay Pausner III ’79 was a gentleman, Eagle Scout, acolyte and a raconteur. He graduated from Aragon High School, where he was a cross-ountry runner, and SCU. He was a kind, pleasant, and generous man with a special interest in the entertainment industry history, particularly TV and cinema. He was associated with Hewlett-Packard Company for over 30 years and provided instruction in personal computers as an avocation. Joseph died on Feb. 1, 2018, from complications related to diabetes. He is survived by his father, Commander Joseph J. Pausner, Jr. ’48 and step-mother, Anne Rees Anderson; sisters Sarah “Pat” Williams (Roger) and Carolyn Zona ’80 (Christopher); stepbrothers Scott and John Anderson; and his aunt, Patricia Ruth Schneider. He was predeceased by his mother, Joann Frances Schneider Pausner, and his Pausner and Schneider grandparents.
