Joseph A. Braun, Jr. ’69 is the coordinator of professional development for the National Council for the Social Studies and led the third annual Teacher Education Institute on Powerful and Authentic Social Studies on the SCU campus in July. He is the co-author of "An Introduction to Standards-Based Reflective Teaching in Middle and High Schools" published by Teachers College Press. He lives in Carmel, Calif., with his wife, Anne Gosch, who is the librarian at Palma High and he is a co-founder of the band Doc Ricketts Crickets.
