His favorite memories at SCU have come with his involvement in Residence Life, including beach bonfires, dodgeball, dance lessons from Salsa Clara, camping with Into the Wild, and ice skating. He has also served as an intramural referee, a hospitality minister, lector, an acolyte through Campus Ministry, a student ambassador for the Santa Clara Chapter of Catholic Relief Services, and has received the Charles Dirksen Prize as a member of the Leavey Scholars Program. After graduation, Jon will be moving to Baltimore, Maryland, to serve incarcerated youth as a Jesuit Volunteer working as a paralegal for the Public Justice Center. He encourages students to appreciate everything that the University offers. "For many of us," he says, "there will never be another time where we are so surrounded by friends, mentors, and resources that are all dedicated to our growth and well-being."
