Jon Campisi ’63, J.D. ’69 grew up down the road from Santa Clara University on the Alameda. He attended Bellarmine College Prep and lettered in swimming. He and his brother, Dion, loved hot rods and devoted countless hours to restoring their 1932 Ford 5-Window Coupe. While attending SCU, Jon was a member of the Army ROTC program and was commissioned as a 2nd lieutenant. He was called to service in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star in 1966. Jon spent over 40 years as an attorney, specializing in estate planning. With his brothers, Jon purchased the Campisi Ranch in the Central Valley, where the family still grows almonds, tree fruit, and a variety of row crop vegetables. Jon died on Nov. 13, 2023 and is survived by son Jon Campisi ’97, niece Michelle Barsanti ’86, nephews Christian Campisi ’90 and Richard Campisi ’98, cousin Dominic Campisi ’66, son-in-law Jason Farwell ’94, in-laws Mary Campisi ’66, Michael Barsanti ’84, Murphy Sabatino ’95, and Elizabeth Traub Campisi ’99. Jon is preceded in death by father Salvadore Campisi ’27, brothers Dion Campisi ’63 and Richard Campisi ’57, aunt Elizabeth Campisi ’34, uncle Dominic Campisi ’34, and father-in-law Edward Kelly ’39.
