John Runte JD ’73 was a public accountant in Wisconsin, where he worked until he decided to pursue a law degree. In 1969, John and his wife, Ora, moved with their six children to Santa Clara so he could attend SCU Law. He worked as an attorney from 1973 until his death. John was active in his parish community, St. Katharine Drexel. He was known for his singing voice and devoted much of his time to supporting those in need. John’s many hobbies included flying his Cessna 210, fishing with his sons, listening to music, and spending time with his family. John died Aug. 24, 2022.
