John Lehane MBA ’64, Ph.D. ’71, felt immense gratitude for knowing his grandchildren as adults and proudly followed their accomplishments. A Chicago native, John underwent a profound shift during two years in the Army in eastern Germany with a missile battalion during the Cold War. In 1965, he met his beloved wife, Farelyn, and proposed after just three weeks. Together, John and Farelyn traveled the world, particularly treasuring a Knights of Columbus pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 1999. While also establishing the Information Sciences program at Golden Gate University, he had a long teaching career at San Jose State. John died on Sept. 14, 2024.
